Safe Streets for All: UNC's Comprehensive Plan to Reduce Crime
The UNC believes that reducing crime and improving public safety is a top priority for Trinidad and Tobago. To achieve this goal, the party will implement a comprehensive crime reduction plan that includes:
- Increasing the number of police officers on the streets to deter criminal activity.
- Improving the efficiency of the police force through better training and equipment.
- Investing in programs to address the root causes of crime, including poverty, unemployment, and drug addiction.
- Providing support and rehabilitation for ex-offenders to reduce recidivism.
