THE LEADER OF THE OPPOSITION THANKS ALL STAKEHOLDERS AND THE WIDER PUBLIC FOR THE OVERWHELMING SUPPORT AND ATTENDANCE AT LAST NIGHT’S SECOND ANTI-CRIME TOWN HALL MEETING.
The Leader of the Opposition extends heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all stakeholders, and the wider public for the overwhelming support and attendance at last night’s Anti-Crime town hall meeting, held at Naparima College San Fernando.
With a registered in-person attendance of over 1200 persons, the venue was filled to capacity with extra seats having to be placed to try and accommodate the overflowing crowd.
This significant turnout demonstrates the collective commitment and unity in our efforts to create a safer country for all citizens.
The success of the town hall meeting would not have been possible without the active participation and engagement of each individual who attended. The public’s presence not only showcased their dedication to combating crime but also provided invaluable insights and perspectives that will guide our future initiatives.
Speakers who made presentations in the first segment came from diverse backgrounds bringing a range of experience to the crime problem. This was followed by the numerous testimonials and suggestions from various members of the public who were in attendance.
Additionally, we would have had thousands of citizens viewing the programme online on our various streaming platforms some of whom would have submitted their suggestions electronically.
Again, all suggestions from this latest meeting will be compiled into a larger crime fighting policy.
Crime continues to affect everyone, and the Opposition will continue to do its part in this fight as the next Government of Trinidad and Tobago.
