A meeting was held in collaboration with Councillor Jason Ali – Councillor – Siparia West / Fyzabad with residents of Gheerahoo Trace this evening to address issues following a home invasion in the community last Saturday evening.
The TTPS, represented by ASP Ramdeen and Inspector Taitt were in attendance to address the concerns of the residents.
Mr Darrin Carmichael of CRIMESTOPPERS spoke via telephone link to advise residents on formalizing a neighborhood watch group.
Also speaking to the community were Councillor for Siparia West Fyzabad Mr Jason Ali and Siparia Borough Corporation Mayor Doodnath Mayrhoo.
In attendance were members of the executive of the Fyzabad Police Community Council.
I give constituents the assurance that I will continue to do my utmost best to advocate for the resources and policies required to combat crime in our communities.
But, I also encourage citizens to remain vigilant and take all precautions to remain safe and limit the opportunities for the criminal elements to invade your communities and homes.
